Prepositions are linking words that show the relationship between two nouns or pronouns. Examples are: about, in, on, under, through, for, up, long, before, between, of, off, to.
Prepositional Phrases
If there is a preposition in a sentence, that is a signal that there will probably be a prepositional phrase. These give extra details about position, place and time.
